The Application Management (AWM) app ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for IT service management. It manages the registration, maintenance, and end-of-life (EOL) management of applications and serves as the starting point for a comprehensive information network.
Features
- Creation, maintenance, and review of IT applications using a workflow
- Definition and tracking of application lifecycles
- Linking applications to IT systems, data, processes, and service providers
- Supporting IT architecture and cloud management, as well as linking applications to the organization (managers, employees, etc.)
The app supports the following roles, each of which has dedicated views:
Application managers are responsible for assessing the content and technical aspects of applications. Users with this role receive a complete overview of all existing applications, both active and decommissioned. In addition, they can control general settings, such as the interval for uploading application lists.
Application administrators are responsible for ensuring compliance with the formal requirements for an application. Users with this role are notified annually to review their application documents and can confirm this within the app. They can add new applications to the application list via a workflow (application onboarding). Applications that have been decommissioned (application offboarding) are automatically set to “Decommissioned” in VASGARD/IAN and are no longer listed in the application list thereafter.
